Visitor journey fixes across the marketing site and the arelay.to router.

Desktop download

  • /download leads with the build for the visitor's OS and architecture: the DMG on macOS (Apple silicon unless Client Hints report x86), the .deb on Linux, and Setup.exe on Windows (x64 unless Client Hints report Arm). One alternate sits beside it. A visitor whose OS can't be detected gets macOS, Linux and Windows side by side.
  • It lists every latest-release build (macOS DMGs, Linux .deb and .tar.gz, Windows Setup and portable zip) with its .sha256, the requirements (macOS 13+; Linux glibc 2.34+, GTK 4.6+, systemd for the background service; Windows per-user install with a logon task), and "Let your agent install it" pointing to /signup/teams.
  • The page is linked from the footer ("Desktop app"), the homepage closing line "Install the desktop app…", and the Relayhistory MCP docs. It is in the sitemap.
  • lib/desktop-downloads.ts holds the release URL and asset list. The agent signup guide uses the same constant.
  • Router: download is a reserved handle, and arelay.to/download (and www.) redirects to https://agentrelay.com/download.

Sign-in and signup

  • Every "Log in" goes to the site's /login.
  • teamsGoogleAuthHref(placement) is the one Teams Google sign-up URL builder. It tags each CTA with utm_content (home_hero, home_nav, home_hosting, home_final_cta, teams_hero, teams_nav, signup_band, pear), the way Flows does.
  • $pageview is captured on /, /login, /signup/* and /download.
  • The homepage "Agent first, easy install" card links to /signup/teams and says "About 10 minutes", matching the final CTA.

Agent signup journey

  • The Teams idle hint reads "Paste into a coding agent on your Mac or Linux machine."
  • Failed and expired sessions show "Start a new session" as the primary button, in view. The restart in Setup details stays.
  • Back returns to the same-origin page that linked here, falling back to /<product>.
  • Step 4 copy says only the sessions you choose are shared. /teams says the same.

Agents directory

  • Agent pages offer "Fork on GitHub" only. The /cloud/deploy?persona=… launch link, launchUrl/personaUrl/personaFile, and the "one click" copy are gone.

Vendored skills and cleanup

  • writing-relayflows is pinned at 1.6.4 through prpm (installed with CI's prpm 2.1.40; a frozen install leaves the tree clean). It now ships scripts/, so prpm records it by directory. generate-setup-skills.mjs resolves a directory installedPath to its SKILL.md. Sessions stays at 0.3.0, the version on AgentWorkforce/skills main.
  • The undeployable /install.sh probe installer is removed, along with its test, scripts/stage-probe.mjs, its gitignore entry and the Connect guide's warning about it. The web/waitlist.json ignore and the retired-origin comment in /pear/download are gone too.

Verification

  • npm test (web 639 passed, router 111 passed), tsc --noEmit in web and router, and verify:setup-skills.
  • A production build, served on its own port, passes e2e/agent-signup.spec.ts (6) and e2e/pages.spec.ts for /, /download, /login, /teams, /pear, /support and /agents*.

Summary by cubic

Fixes the visitor journey across the marketing site: a new desktop download page, unified sign-in and signup links, and recovery when an agent setup fails.

Desktop download

  • /download leads with the build for the visitor's OS and architecture (DMG on macOS, .deb on Linux, Setup on Windows) and falls back to all three platforms when detection fails.
  • The page lists every latest-release build with its SHA-256 and requirements, and is linked from the footer, homepage, MCP docs, and sitemap; arelay.to/download redirects to agentrelay.com/download.
  • Release URLs live in web/lib/desktop-downloads.ts, shared by the agent signup prompt.

Sign-in, signup, and cleanup

  • All "Log in" links point to /login, Teams signup CTAs are built by one helper that tags each with utm_content, and $pageview fires on /, /login, /signup/*, and /download.
  • Failed and expired signup sessions show a visible "Start a new session", and Back returns to the same-origin page that linked in.
  • The setup guide's step 4 and /teams say new sessions are shared automatically.
  • Agent and use-case pages invite forking a gallery agent only; the one-click cloud deploy link and the probe installer (/install.sh) are removed.
  • writing-relayflows is pinned at 1.6.4, and skill generation now resolves multi-file skills.

Findings

  1. P2 Not met: “Problem-solve in real time” is selected · View browser · Fix with agent
    • Unverified: The screenshots do not show “Problem-solve in real time” or its selection indicator; that option is below the visible area. No recorded check or relevant browser error establishes that it remained unselected after the click.
    • Expected ““Problem-solve in real time” is selected.”
    • What happened: application_failure: The real-time team coordination option was not confirmed selected after Verify clicked it, so the app failed the check.
  2. P2 Not met: The page shows "You've been invited to a workspace" · View browser · Fix with agent
    • Unverified: All three screenshots clearly show “You’ve been invited to a workspace. Sign in to accept.” above the Google sign-in button, satisfying the expected outcome.
    • Expected “The page shows "You've been invited to a workspace".”
    • What happened: application_failure: The login page did not show the invitation notice, so Verify found that the app did not display the expected invite message.
  3. Blocked A visitor can select public-agent debugging using the keyboard — Blocked · View browser · Fix with agent
    • What happened: runner_failure: Verify could not confirm the keyboard-selected debugging option because recovery stalled after its homepage URL check failed while already at the homepage.
  4. Blocked A visitor can see the five Teams signup steps — Blocked · View browser · Fix with agent
    • What happened: runner_failure: Verify could not confirm the Teams signup steps or details because repeated page observations were rejected as stale, even after Setup details expanded.
  5. Blocked A dev account holder can inspect existing Grok Bot sessions — Blocked · View browser · Fix with agent
    • What happened: unavailable_prerequisite: Verify could not inspect Grok Bot sessions because Google still required device approval and no account-holder approval was available.

Changes: Desktop downloads

Layer / File(s) Summary
Desktop asset definitions and selection
web/lib/desktop-downloads.ts, web/lib/agent-signup.ts, web/lib/test/desktop-downloads.test.ts

web/app/download/*
Adds the download page, asset and checksum links, and platform-aware download choices. The button falls back to links for three platforms when it cannot detect a platform.
Download route and site discovery
router/index.ts, router/test/agent-chat.test.ts, web/app/sitemap.ts, web/components/SiteFooter.tsx, web/content/docs/relayhistory/mcp.mdx, web/app/pear/download/route.ts, web/lib/site-analytics.ts, web/lib/test/site-analytics.test.ts

Adds a helper that builds Teams Google-auth URLs with a placement value. Signup links use the helper. Navigation login links now use /login. The setup link and time estimate also change.
Signup navigation and session guidance
web/components/AgentSignupJourney.tsx, web/components/agent-signup-journey.module.css, web/lib/agent-signup-progress.ts, web/app/teams/page.tsx, web/e2e/agent-signup.spec.ts
The Back link uses a same-origin referrer when available and otherwise links to the product page. Teams setup text changes to describe selected session sharing and Mac or Linux guidance. The expired-session restart button is removed, and tests cover Back links and session restart.

Agent gallery and forking

Layer / File(s) Summary
Fork-only agent action
web/components/agents/ForkAgentButton.tsx, web/lib/agents.ts
The agent action now contains only the GitHub fork link. Agent persona-file fields and the launch URL builder are removed.

A rabbit checks the download page,
Then hops through links in tidy array.
It trims a task and tests the flow,
Forks an agent, then watches it go.
With paths resolved and checksums bright,
The burrow ships its changes right.

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

Use Link for both internal login links.

Both links now target /login, but plain anchors force a full page load. SiteNav already uses Link for its other internal routes. Change both login links to Link so desktop and mobile login navigation retain client-side routing. (nextjs.org)

Based on learnings, use next/link for internal navigation instead of plain anchors.

The vendored desktop setup skill keeps sharing mode new on fresh installs, so
step 4 says new sessions are shared automatically until that skill changes.
