Kickside module template for Wippy.

The Chicago desktop shell in the look of the mid-nineties desktops: pixel chrome over Kitty/Sixel, the Start menu, the logon, a declarative window SDK, Notepad, My Computer, Display Properties and desktop widgets.

Run…: a command line that opens in its own Bash window, at the root of the Start menu.

A distributed workspace and self-improving infrastructure

Task Manager: applications, processes, performance and the node, with End Task and End Process; administrators only.

Calculator: the engine as a pure library, the window on the shell SDK.

Minesweeper: three levels, flags and Flag mode, chording, the smiley and the timer; the rules are a pure library with tests, the window is on the shell SDK.

Add/Remove Programs: the application's Wippy modules, installed and removed from the Start menu.

Weather: a window with the forecast and a city search, the temperature in the tray, and a desktop widget; data from Open-Meteo, no key needed.

The window manager for the terminal on the Wippy runtime: a compositor of overlapping windows, real programs under a PTY, one desktop per SSH connection, and a command channel an agent can drive.

Services: the runtime's supervised services with status, startup, host and declaration; Start, Stop and Restart disabled, since the runtime has no service control for Lua.

Registry Editor: the runtime's registry as a tree, read-only, administrators only.

Event Viewer: the platform's threads as logs and their events newest first, a page at a time, with type and text filters and each event's properties and payload.

Users and User Profile: the application's accounts — list, create, rename, change status, reset a password, set groups and delete — and an account's properties, over kickside/users.

The Chicago application: the desktop served over SSH from a server, composing the kickside platform, the desktop base, the shell and the modules from the Hub with the logon, the SSH host and the system windows.

AntiBug: a test scanner in the style of a 1995 antivirus, where the findings are failed tests of the application and of the targets it declares.

Scheduled Tasks: kickside/cron's schedules under your account, with next and last run and status, Run Now, Pause/Resume, Delete and Properties.
