Commands

Selldone CLI installs one executable, selldone. You can run a deployment directly or open an interactive menu with all actions. This page lists every command, every menu action and the debug mode.

Command line

Command Description
selldone Prints the Selldone banner and opens the interactive menu.
selldone deploy Builds and deploys the Layout in the current folder. Same as Deploy in the menu.
selldone --debug Opens the interactive menu in debug mode (see Debug mode).

Inside a checkout of this repository you can also run the CLI without installing it:

npm run deploy # runs: node main.mjs

Interactive menu

Run selldone with no arguments to choose an action. Deploy is selected by default.

? Please select an action: (Use arrow keys)
  New Creat new layout project.
❯ Deploy Build and upload your Vue storefront layout.
Login Login to your Selldone account.
  Exit

The menu changes depending on whether a token is saved on your computer:

Action Shown when What it does
New Always Clones selldone/storefront into a storefront folder with the GitHub CLI, installs dependencies, runs setup, asks for a package and name, and writes manifest.json with version 0.0.1. See Getting Started.
Deploy Always Runs the full deployment workflow.
Layouts Signed in Calls GET https://api.selldone.com/developer/layouts and prints a table with Package, Name, Verified At, Penalty At, Version Stable, Version Beta and Created At.
Logout Signed in Clears the saved access token and exits.
Login Signed out Runs the OAuth2 login, prints You are logged in as: <name> (<email>) and exits.
Exit Always Exits the CLI.

Files the CLI reads and writes

Path Used for
./manifest.json Layout metadata; validated and uploaded with every deployment.
./package.json scripts The CLI runs the build-production script.
./dist/ Build output; its contents are compressed into the ZIP.
./dist.zip The ZIP created by the CLI and uploaded to Selldone.
~/.selldone-dev/.persist Saved access token (.persist-debug in debug mode).

Package manager detection

The build step runs npm run build-production or yarn run build-production. The CLI reads the npm_config_user_agent environment variable, which npm and yarn set when they run a script. When it is not set (for example, when you call selldone directly), the CLI asks:

? Unable to detect package manager. Please choose (npm/yarn): (Use arrow keys)
❯ npm
  yarn

The default answer is yarn. The New action uses the same choice for install and setup.

Debug mode

Debug mode exists for developing Selldone itself against a local backend. You normally do not need it.

selldone --debug

When enabled, the CLI prints DEBUG MODE ENABLED! and:

Setting Normal Debug
Manifest file ./manifest.json ./manifest-debug.json if it exists, otherwise ./manifest.json
OAuth client ID 6663 200
Selldone web URL https://selldone.com http://127.0.0.1:9000
API base https://api.selldone.com http://api.localhost:9000
Token file ~/.selldone-dev/.persist ~/.selldone-dev/.persist-debug
Build Always runs build-production Skipped when dist.zip already exists; the CLI zips the current dist/ again and uploads it

Use selldone --debug and pick Deploy from the menu so debug settings are applied before deployment starts.
