Chart 1.8.0 deploys the published cfgate v0.2.0-alpha.9 image by its verified multi-architecture digest. It synchronizes the release CRDs, rejects colliding health/metrics listener ports, exposes a 30-second Pod termination allowance, and documents upgrade and decommissioning procedures.

Access boolean selectors must be true when present. Omitted hostname TTLs now inherit resource defaults, while previously stored ttl: 1 remains Auto until deliberately removed. Proxied DNS records use Auto TTL; DNS-only records retain the effective configured value.

Validation at 612c211:

  • 22 chart/release-guard tests, Helm lint, rendering and packaging pass. All four rendered CRD specs match the alpha.9 tag.
  • Alpha.9 release workflow succeeded. Its image digest is available and passes OCI attestation verification against release source 5e0b559 and tag v0.2.0-alpha.9.
  • A disposable ARM64 Kubernetes 1.37.0 cluster upgraded published chart 1.7.0 to this packaged 1.8.0 with --reuse-values. Custom ports and values, stored resource UID and explicit Auto TTL survived. Removing the old TTL override enables inheritance; the new schema rejects false selectors. The running Deployment uses the final alpha.9 digest and 30-second grace; a subsequent rollout restart also passed. Probe cleanup, chart uninstall and cluster removal completed, leaving the original three clusters intact.
  • Previous Greptile reviews found no actionable issues; final metadata changes are queued for review.

The operator release provides its live Cloudflare integration evidence. This chart upgrade uses isolated schema probes without Cloudflare credentials; it does not claim a separate live-account decommissioning test. The existing release workflow checks published dependencies and attestations again before chart publication and generates release notes from Git history.

- chart: reject endpoint port conflicts
- chart: expose the Pod shutdown budget
- test: cover defaults and overrides
- api: reject false Access selectors
- docs: explain the planned migration
- docs: separate uninstall from cleanup
- release: retain the published image pin

RetriggerConfidence Score: 5/5

[High risk] Kubernetes Helm chart release with CRD and deployment changes.

The PR appears safe to merge; no outstanding findings remain.

Summary

Chart 1.8.0 updates the default cfgate image to alpha.9, synchronizes the CRDs, rejects colliding listener ports, adds a configurable Pod termination allowance, and revises upgrade and decommissioning guidance.
