Enable G309 LightForce mode and fix extended-DPI Y-axis writes
Removes the G309 from MODE_STATUS_POWER_ONLY_MODEL_IDS and adds a new LIGHTFORCE_MODE_WITHOUT_LIFT_OFF_MODEL_IDS set. The new hasLightforceModeControl predicate lets G309 show LightForce mode even without live lift-off control, while keeping gaming-surface controls hidden.
Fixes LogitechHidppClient.setDpi and setLiftOffDistance to send zero for the unsupported Y-axis DPI and lift-off fields on extended-DPI devices without separate axes. Confirmation no longer fails on the unsupported Y value.
HID++ request rejections now include the failed waiter's feature index and function ID for easier diagnostics.
LightForce mode controls are available for the G309, while lift-off and gaming-surface controls remain hidden. The G305 continues to offer power-mode controls only.
Bug Fixes
DPI and lift-off updates now handle devices without separate horizontal and vertical settings correctly.
HID++ rejection messages now identify the relevant feature and function when available.

Walkthrough
The Logitech HID++ driver now applies model-specific LightForce eligibility, handles DPI writes according to reported capabilities, and includes feature and function identifiers in rejection errors. Tests and G309 testing notes reflect these changes. The package manifest also changes a development dependency.

LightForce control eligibility src/drivers/logitech/hidpp.ts, src/drivers/logitech/hidpp.test.ts, docs/logitech-testing.md
The driver uses model-specific rules to expose LightForce and gaming-surface controls. Tests and G309 testing notes reflect these rules.
Resolve the outstanding DPI correctness issue and restore the pinned release dependency before merging.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to 92a05
The mouse-control changes remain within existing device-access controls. The main uncertainty is release tooling: the workflow still invokes a tool whose declared dependency was removed, leaving its installation and execution behavior unresolved.
Retained concerns
Low · security · inferred: The PR removes the only declared dependency supplying semantic-release while the credentialed release job continues invoking unversioned npx semantic-release. Its retained lockfile entry is outside the declared dependency closure and does not establish a usable installation. The job may fail or rely on registry resolution if the local executable is unavailable; the effective outcome is unverified.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
observed — The release execution path has repository contents, issues, and pull-request write permissions, plus permission to request an identity token. The release command receives GH_TOKEN. These privileges predate the dependency removal and make executable provenance relevant beyond a local development-tool change.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — The inspected driver changes do not alter WebHID device selection or previously authorized-device reconnection. Incoming replies continue matching the selected device index, feature index, and function/software identifier. Firmware-provided identity and capability values select protocol behavior; they do not grant additional browser device authorization.

Explanation
The title "G309 lightforce switches and dpi fix" names the two main user-facing changes: LightForce mode exposure for the G309 and the DPI write fix. It matches the raw summary, which covers the LightForce gate, the new hasLightforceModeControl helper, and the DPI and lift-off write changes. It is specific and short, though it does not mention the HID++ error message changes. The title is related to the main change and is not vague.

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — The driver adds a G309-specific LightForce capability and capability-aware DPI writes, while the package changes remove the pinned semantic-release dependency still used by the release workflow. The code changes are narrow, but the release-tooling impact and model-specific behavior warrant human verification.

Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Reject a distinct Y DPI when separate axes are unavailable.
If a caller uses setDpi(1600, 800) on a single-axis mouse and both values are advertised, validation passes. The write sets Y to zero, but the read-back check ignores Y and reports success. Reject a distinct dpiY when capabilities.separateAxes is false, so the method does not report that it applied an unsupported request.
Proposed check
const capabilities = await this.readDpiCapabilities(feature.index);
+ if (!capabilities.separateAxes && dpiY !== dpi) {+ throw new Error("This mouse does not support separate Y-axis DPI.");+ }
const writeDpiY = capabilities.separateAxes ? dpiY : 0;
