Finish lifecycle cleanup and remove stale qualification documents - #38
Finish the pending lifecycle cleanup changes and replace duplicated qualification journals with one current checklist. Jobs and resources remain owned through shutdown, breakpoint cleanup retains the exact returned handle, and active plugin lifecycle fixtures verify cleanup boundaries.
Remove 27 obsolete checkpoint, research and release-draft documents; retain the maintained harness contracts and repair documentation links. Historical evidence is preserved locally and in Git history. Unverified native requirements remain open.
Both dependencies are now merged on their upstream main branches. Client also includes merged PRs #71 and #72. Third-party source notices match the recorded revisions.

V: fresh locked restore, Debug/Release solution builds, direct Release project build, portable tests and formatting checks passed.
V+ / AOT: current-head CI built Debug and Release distributions and validated release assets. See build run 40205506430. No release was published.
VN: NativeLua suite passed.
Not run: VL. No new live probe or system setting change was made.
Review fixes
Permit mono_detach only inside the existing shutdown cleanup scope. The regression failed before the fix and now passes for all four cleanup operations, while ordinary and out-of-scope calls remain refused.
Align direct and transitive source references to the same Configuration and AnyCPU platform. This fixes duplicate SDK compilation/output contention in direct project builds; Debug/Release MSBuild regression fixtures preserve unrelated references and existing metadata.
Restore the explicit portable TRX command/path and pass the same TRX to both gateway and portable report inputs. Executing the documented flow produced a report for all 207 tools with routing complete and native qualification still false.
Correct the concurrent revision-limit test for the documented five-second directory-lock timeout. It still requires exactly one published revision and verifies LimitExceeded after the winning operation completes.
Contract and documentation
No golden contract files changed.
Project READMEs, contributor guidance, current checklist and source notices updated.
Native evidence remains tied to exact candidates; no requirement was closed by inference.
No automatic merge, deployment or release requested.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Improved plugin shutdown cleanup so owned resources and jobs are released more reliably, and new work is blocked once shutdown begins.
Improved debugger breakpoint handling during capture and tracing, including safer cleanup when the active process changes or breakpoint details are incomplete.
Improved plugin status reporting during deactivation.
Improved cleanup of resources and jobs when starts overlap with shutdown.
Documentation
Condensed qualification status information and removed several historical release and qualification documents. The beta release notes and integration-design documentation are no longer included.

Walkthrough
The PR updates activation resource cleanup, managed-job startup, debugger breakpoint handling, and live lifecycle qualification. It also revises qualification records and repository guidance, updates dependency references, and removes historical release and qualification documents.
Resource tracking and managed-job startup now coordinate with activation shutdown. Managed jobs serialize startup with stop requests. MonoTools.Attach performs Lua execution and resource tracking inside its dispatch callback.
Activation-owned state release libs/CheatEngine.Mcp.Core/Jobs/LuaJobKernelScripts.cs, libs/CheatEngine.Mcp.Core/Targets/McpStateLedger.cs, tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/Core/*, tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/NativeLua/NativeLuaStateLedgerTests.cs
Unmanaged release now releases eligible entries owned by the current activation and can include earlier-activation orphans. Tests cover release scope and cleanup after tracking stops.
Plugin shutdown callbacks and scoped Lua cleanup srcs/CheatEngine.Mcp.Plugin/*, tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/Plugin/McpModuleLifecycleTests.cs, tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/NativeLua/NativeLua*Tests.cs
Disabling stops new resource tracking. A separate cleanup callback releases resources, and a deactivation notification reports Disabled status through a lifecycle scope. Only recognized cleanup operations use the synchronous cleanup execution path.
Debugger breakpoint cleanup

Summary
Breakpoint handle tracking and cleanup srcs/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tools/Debugger/DebuggerLuaScripts.cs, tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/NativeLua/NativeLuaDebugger*Tests.cs, tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/Tools/Debugger/DebuggerToolsTests.cs
Debugger scripts retain the original breakpoint handle and validate its ID. Cleanup checks that the original process is still selected and reports missing IDs or rejected removal. Tests cover structured handles, target changes, and failed cleanup.
Live lifecycle qualification

Summary
Qualification scenario and observation contracts tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/LiveQualification/LivePluginBridge.cs, LiveSandboxSession.Lifecycle.cs, LiveSandboxOptions.cs, LiveQualificationOptIn.cs, TargetMemoryProbe.cs, related tests
The harness adds an opt-in active-plugin lifecycle scenario, bounded plugin and breakpoint observations, and a Windows target-memory probe.
Active plugin lifecycle qualification flow tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/LiveQualification/LiveActivePluginLifecycleQualification.cs, LiveDebuggerExecutionQualification.cs, LiveSandboxSession.cs, McpLiveQualificationTests.cs, tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.LiveTarget/*
The scenario exercises target allocation, debugger capture and pause, plugin disable and re-enable, cleanup, and a fresh capture. The debugger-loop manifest adds pause and acknowledgement addresses.
Repository records and documentation

Summary
Current qualification guidance and archived records TODO.md, docs/qualification/all-tools/*, docs/qualification/v2.0.0/*, docs/beta*-release-notes.md, docs/external-connections.md, docs/mcp-alternatives-research.md, tests/CheatEngine.Mcp.Tests/README.md
The all-tools guide now summarizes current qualification status and evidence instructions. Historical qualification reports, release drafts, and research documents were removed. Test documentation links now use the maintained all-tools paths.
Dependency references and repository guidance .gitignore, CONTRIBUTING.md, THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md, externals/*
The dependency references and related license links now use updated commits. Contributor guidance covers local dependency changes and review. .gitignore now excludes *.dll.
External project references now receive AnyCPU and the active configuration. Tests cover direct and transitive dependency references and unrelated references.
CheatEngineNet/CheatEngine.Mcp#37: Adds debugger adapter tests for breakpoint handles and cleanup cases that overlap with the breakpoint tracking and cleanup changes here.
