Native Linux package for Nazi Zombies: Portable. Builds the pinned Vril engine and QuakeC game code, then assembles the pinned PC and common assets. Compiled maps and spawn zones are preserved from the verified 2026-10-22 upstream nightly; maps/provenance.json records the archive checksum, asset source revision and individual checksums. It does not depend on replaceable nightly release URLs.
Upstream NZ:P Team owns the engine/game source and assets. Engine and game code
are GPLv2; assets are CC BY-SA 4.0. Their original license files are installed in
share/doc/nzportable. Source revisions and hashes are recorded in package.nix. The engine’s local
rsqrt helper is renamed for compatibility with glibc 2.42.
The launcher keeps writable configuration and saves under
$XDG_DATA_HOME/nzportable (or ~/.local/share/nzportable). Immutable game assets
are linked there; existing user files are preserved. Custom asset directories
can replace those links. This packaging repository is licensed under MIT.
