This project presents a detailed reverse engineering study of two commercially available eyewear products: Lenskart BLU Zero Power Blue-Cut Computer Glasses and adjustable-focus reading glasses.
The study covers product identification, component and material analysis, working-principle investigation, literature and patent analysis, standards review, experimental characterization, SolidWorks CAD modelling, and ANSYS Static Structural FEA.
Five experiments were conducted to investigate blue-light filtering, optical power, broadband transmittance, refractive index, and structural performance. The study also identifies design limitations and proposes potential improvements including adaptive blue-cut coatings, liquid-crystal autofocus lenses, carbon-fibre-reinforced nylon frames, and quantum-dot spectral filtering.
