   Context

   The footer lives in index.html:261-275. It's a simple <footer class="site-footer"> with a brand mark/name on the left and social links + copyright (© <span id="year">2026</span> Selection Lab) on the right. main.js (260 lines) currently has no console.log calls, so the console credit would be a new addition, likely near the top or bottom of the file so it runs on every page load.

   Proposed ideas

   1. Footer credit line
   Add a small line crediting the builder, in the footer-links area next to the copyright, e.g.:

   <span class="footer-copy">© <span id="year">2026</span> Selection Lab</span>
   <span class="footer-credit">Built by <a href="https://github.com/cpt9m0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ali Ayati</a></span>

   Styling options:

   • a) Inline next to the copyright text, same muted-gray styling, separated by a ·
   • b) Its own line below the copyright, smaller/lighter font (subtler, common pattern for "site by X" credits)

   2. Console.log credit
   Add a small branded message that logs when the site loads, e.g. in main.js:

   console.log(

     "color:#6b46ff; font-weight:bold; font-size:12px;"
   );

   Options:

   • a) Simple one-liner as above
   • b) Fancier ASCII-art/banner style with the Selection Lab name + credit (more "flair", slightly more code)

   Open questions before I implement

   1. Footer placement: inline next to copyright, or its own line?
   2. Should the footer credit link to https://github.com/cpt9m0, or somewhere else (portfolio/LinkedIn)?
   3. Console message: plain text or styled/colored (%c) banner?
   4. Exact wording — e.g. "Built by Ali Ayati", "Site by Ali Ayati", "Crafted by Ali Ayati", or include "Selection Lab" branding too?

   Let me know which options you'd like and I'll implement them.

   Implemented per your selections:

   Footer (index.html:267-273, styles.css) — added a .footer-meta wrapper so the copyright and credit stack on their own lines, right-aligned:

   <span class="footer-credit">Site by <a href="https://github.com/cpt9m0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ali Ayati</a></span>

   The credit line uses the same small caption styling as the copyright, slightly lighter, and brightens on hover.

   Console (main.js:6-10) — a styled two-line banner logged on every page load:
