Hands-on builder: years of hardware bring-up, shop mechanics, and field prototypes — and, more recently, public software for coding agents & self-hosting. Still turns wrenches: small engines (brush cutters, chainsaws) and light-vehicle DIY (driveshafts/CV boots, alternator, fluids).
New chapter: shipping code and agent tooling (not only boards). Typed judgment, thin always-on, prove it works. Physical craft did not stop — agents speed research and docs; hands, bench, and responsibility stay human.

Long stretch of hardware-first work with collaborators: datasheets, forums, broken boards, and whatever tools were on the table. Primary lane was physical bring-up — mechanics, sensing, low-voltage, and prototype QA. Companion apps and backends were usually owned by a software collaborator; we still cross-checked hardware choices together. Same buyer label: prototype QA & guided low-voltage hardware; slower feedback loops.
- Electromechanical sensing prototype for an early health/mobility product: mechanical design, additive prototypes, metal fabrication with a machine shop, load-cell integration, and a Bluetooth path to a companion app owned by a software collaborator. Extensive bench validation. Not a certified medical device.
- Low-voltage builds — plug-in supplies, enclosures, sensor and Wi‑Fi nodes (not licensed mains / electrician work)
- Early PCB sketches with Fritzing / Eagle (shared with collaborators where noted in the record)
- Outdoor sensing & remote monitoring prototypes (MCU/SBC, env sensors, logging, cellular-era uplinks) — hardware/capability-level only
- Shop fabrication — CNC / small-run experiments, not industrial certification
