feat(links): open a server and its channels from a web link - #337
To send someone to a server from a README or a website you had to build and host your own copy of Obby with the server baked in. Now any Obby web deploy opens a server and its channels from the link fragment, in the Kiwi IRC format, with channels in the path for ircs:// as in the IRC URL draft.

Follows up #136. The fragment stays in the browser, so it works on GitHub Pages and the PR previews as they are. A link never connects or joins without a click, and we show its hostname and drop any name it gives. A build tied to one server takes only the channels.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added support for joining channels from join links. You can review the requested channels before joining a saved server, or open the server setup flow for an unconfigured host.
Join links can specify channels and an optional nickname, and the app selects the first requested channel after connecting.
Localization
Added translated connection and join confirmation prompts across supported languages.

Walkthrough
The app now parses join links from URL fragments and routes their channel requests to matching servers. It adds confirmation and connection prompts, extends confirmation dialogs to accept a variant, and adds translations for the new prompts.

Summary
Join-link parsing and tests src/lib/joinLink.ts, tests/lib/joinLink.test.ts
Adds parsing for supported link schemes, hosts, ports, channels, and nicknames. Tests cover parsed values, hostname extraction, and invalid input.
App join handling and prompts src/lib/modal/ConfirmDialog.tsx, src/App.tsx, src/locales/*/messages.po
The app processes parsed links, joins channels on matching servers, and opens a prefilled connection modal for an unsaved host unless a default server is configured. Confirmation dialogs use the requested variant. Locale catalogs add connection and join prompt translations.

Merge Risk: Moderate · previous review 251ed
Some invite links do nothing or open the wrong channel, and dismissing a connection dialog can leave an unexpected join pending. IPv6 links also fail on Tauri. Resolve these issues before merging.

Explanation
The title "feat(links): open a server and its channels from a web link" matches the main change. The PR adds parsing of join links from the URL fragment (src/lib/joinLink.ts, parseJoinLink) and joins a server and its channels through App.tsx helpers, with a confirmation step for saved servers. The title names the feature and its scope. It uses a conventional commit prefix and is one sentence. The title is accurate, concise, and specific, so it passes.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
The only directly linked issue is #136, which is closed. Its status is historical context only. No active directly linked target remains, so no linked-issue coding requirements apply. The PR description says it follows up #136, but that does not make #136's example query-parameter format (server and channel) a requirement. The PR implements a fragment-based format instead, as the PR description states. This is a design choice outside the requirement set. No requirement is unmet.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
Each changed area connects to the stated objective of opening a server and channels from a web link. src/lib/joinLink.ts adds the parser for fragment links, including the Kiwi-style and ircs:// path forms, and the hostname helper. src/App.tsx replaces the channel-only startup handler with link handling, the confirmation flow, and the connect dialog path. src/lib/modal/ConfirmDialog.tsx adds an optional confirmVariant with the default "danger", so existing callers keep their behavior, and the join confirmation can use a non-danger style. The locale catalogs add strings for the new connect and join prompts. Their App.tsx source references are consistent with the new use of existing strings, such as "Join". tests/lib/joinLink.test.ts covers the parser and hostnameOf. This assessment relies on the whole-PR summary and the stated scope. It did not inspect individual source hunks. No unrelated change is evident.

Explanation
Docstring coverage is 75.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 4 functions across 4 files. Review comments at @src/App.tsx:
- Around line 166-167: Update the isSaved branch in offerJoinLink so it selects
the matching saved server and connects it when disconnected before returning for
a server with no channels; preserve the existing channel-handling behavior.
- Line 54: Update the App effect that handles pending join links so it registers
a hashchange listener that parses the current fragment with parseJoinLink,
clears the fragment with history.replaceState, and passes the parsed link to
offerJoinLink. Remove the listener in the effect cleanup, preserving the
existing handling of links present at startup.
- Around line 182-185: Update the cleanHost logic used when submitting the
link-prefilled server dialog so it preserves a bracketed IPv6 host as a whole
while still removing any port or path; keep existing cleanup behavior for
non-bracketed hosts.
- Line 154: Update joinWhenReady so closing the prefilled connect dialog before
a connection removes the registered onReady listener from ircClient. Preserve
the existing behavior of joining and navigating only when the user connects
while the dialog is still active.
Review comments at @src/lib/joinLink.ts:
- Line 20: Update parseJoinLink to split the fragment on the literal query
separator before decoding channel names, so an encoded question mark remains
part of the channel name; preserve the existing behavior verified by the %23
delimiter test.
- Around line 43-47: Update parseJoinLink and the channel mapping around
decodeChannel so each channel name is decoded exactly once, preserving literal
percent-encoded sequences such as %25 without changing the existing %23 host
behavior covered by the join-link tests.
