Neutral is an open-source ecosystem for building modern tooling, automation, CI/CD workflows, infrastructure, and system-level utilities, see the neutral website.
At its center is neutral-lang, designed to provide a common foundation for expressing developer and system workflows. Around it, Neutral provides a collection of modular tools that integrate closely with the language while remaining useful on their own.
- Neutral Lang • the core programming language, compiler, and toolchain
- Neutral Editor • a unified node-based graphical interface for Neutral projects and developer workflows
- Neutral Flow • tooling for defining, validating, and executing CI/CD pipelines
The ecosystem is still taking shape, so project names, scopes, and repository structure may evolve as development progresses.
- Open Source • Development, design decisions, and implementation are open for inspection and community contribution.
- Provider Neutral • Avoid unnecessary dependence on individual platforms, vendors, or infrastructure providers.
- Modular Architecture • Components remain independently useful and composable.
- Developer Focused • Interfaces are predictable, scriptable, and straightforward to understand.
Note
Neutral is currently in early development.
Language syntax, APIs, architecture, tooling, and repository organization are expected to evolve. Projects should be considered experimental unless their individual repositories explicitly state otherwise.
Development takes place within the Neutral Ecosystem organization.
