🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Handle project grouping before token-history output.
If the selected provider is Antigravity or Muse, token_history is present and the earlier branch prints token history instead of this not-available line. The requested project grouping is silently ignored. Check project grouping before token_history, so every non-Codex provider receives the documented response.

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
Report partial workspace history before the project list.
If snapshot.source_status.is_partial() but the cost scan has established coverage, this branch emits no partial-history notice. The project list can then appear complete even though workspace indexing omitted history. Check source_status before rendering the list, including when snapshot.projects is empty. The session renderer already checks this status.

🚀 Performance & Scalability | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick win
Skip session files whose modification time is before the window start.
load_ledger_from_roots reads every *.jsonl file under sessions and archived_sessions from start to end. The --days window does not affect this, and the maximum window is 365 days. A record can enter the ledger only when its timestamp is at or after start_unix_ms. A file's modification time is at or after the time of its last write. So a file last modified before start_unix_ms cannot contribute a record, a conflict, or a legacy exclusion.
This matters most on the remote path. codex_cli_options sets a fixed 60-second SSH timeout. A full history scan on a large remote host can exceed that timeout. The remote source then reports "unavailable", even when the window is short.
To fix this, skip files with an old modification time before calling scan_file. Keep a margin for clock skew.

Addressed all three findings:
identified_requests 19 passed, cli::cost 30 passed, clippy clean. After merging main: full |
|
On the "Provider Data Stays Siloed" pre-merge check: the No provider data crosses between providers here. Project and identified-request output only render for Codex results, and other providers get the explicit "only available for Codex" notice. Moving cost-report dispatch behind a typed provider capability would touch the whole command, so it is out of scope for this port. I'm tracking it as a follow-up refactor. |
Summary
Ports upstream CodexBar v0.75.0 cost CLI changes: identified-request subtotals (steipete#4447; fa2b14e, d3724b2) and the project-report partial-history notice (steipete#4472; 8ec6033). Flag names and help match upstream
CLICostCommand.swift/CLIHelp.swift.cost --provider codex --format json --identified-only [--days N] [--identified-end <unix-ms>] [--remote <host>]: opt-in native Codex identified-request subtotal. It uses upstream's versioned ledger fields, length-framed SHA-256 request IDs, a UTC-midnight window, a 50,000-record cap and overflow checks. Merging removes duplicates and keeps conflicting requests excluded.costUSDis always null (no estimated combined price). It rejects non-JSON output, a non-codex provider, period flags,--group-by,--summary-onlyand a day count outside 1–365.sessionsandarchived_sessions. A request counts only in the session file that owns it, and copies of the parent's requests in a forked file are not double-counted. Malformed lines or a file that changes during the scan mark the result partial.--remoteruns the same export over the existing SSH safeguards (32 MiB output cap). If the remote fails, the explicitly partial local subtotal is kept, and the exit code is nonzero.cost --group-by project(text): lists projects from the Codex workspaces index and respects hide-personal-info. When history coverage is incomplete, the coverage notice comes first, including when the project list is empty. If project history can't be loaded, it prints "Project history unavailable: …".docs/CLI.mdupdated.Not ported: upstream's cancellation handling during export, and the parser-hash/cache hooks (the identified scan is a standalone module). Fork ownership is decided by session ID only. The desktop UI is unchanged.
Tests
cargo test --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml: 4634 passed, 0 failed (after merging main)-D warningson both manifests: cleancodex_costs::identified_requeststests (ledger validation, dedupe/conflicts, ownership, forks, partial cases) plus CLI argument tests.--identified-only --days 7→ 1007 records, 0 excluded, not partial, exit 0; non-JSON--identified-only→ argument error;--group-by project --days 7→ coverage notice + projects.Summary by CodeRabbit
--identified-onlyoption to export a versioned ledger of identified Codex requests for a UTC time window, with optional separate SSH-host results and a subtotal.
