What

Adds a short note under Getting Started for projects still on the v1 SDK: stay on ext-apps 1.x, which peers on @modelcontextprotocol/sdk@^1.29.0, with the matching install line.

Why

The README only shows the v2 install. ext-apps 2.x peers on @modelcontextprotocol/core, client and server ^2.0.0, while 1.7.x peers on @modelcontextprotocol/sdk ^1.29.0 (checked with npm view). Building an MCP server on the v1 SDK, I had to work out from the peer ranges which ext-apps line to use; one sentence in the README would have saved that.

Checks

  • npx prettier --check README.md passes.
  • Docs only; no code changes.

ext-apps 1.x peers on @modelcontextprotocol/sdk ^1.29.0 while 2.x peers on the split v2 packages. The README only shows the v2 install, so a project still on the v1 SDK has no pointer to the 1.x line.
