Summary

  • Linux and Windows jobs run on playwright-x64-ubuntu24-64-core and playwright-x64-server2025-64-core, as upstream's tests_primary.yml and playwright-python.
  • The macOS jobs run on macos-26-xlarge (5 vCPU / 14 GB), the same macOS version as macos-latest (3 vCPU / 7 GB) on larger hardware.
  • The JDK 21 job becomes Java_25 on Temurin 25, the latest LTS, with Chromium only.
  • The branded browsers only check the channel option: Chrome on Linux, Edge on Windows. Upstream tests them on all platforms.
  • With the ported upstream tests (test: port the upstream page and library tests #2024) the test count triples, and several jobs hit the time limit on the hosted runners.

With the ported upstream tests (microsoft#2024) the test count triples, and on the
free 3 vCPU / 7 GB runner these jobs hit the time limit.
The same runners as upstream's tests_primary.yml and playwright-python.

JDK 25 is the latest LTS; Temurin, since AdoptOpenJDK gets no updates.
The JDK does not depend on the browser, and upstream tests the branded
browsers on all platforms; Edge stays on Windows.
One label for the three browsers instead of the exclude and include lists.
