I'm an MPhys Physics student at the University of Warwick π with a strong interest in scientific computing and physics-informed machine learning.
I recently completed an industrial placement as a Scientific Software Engineer at the ISIS Computing Division, STFC, where I contributed to scientific software used by the neutron and X-ray scattering research communities.
- Studying Neural Computing, and High Performance Computing & Machine Learning as part of my MPhys
- Exploring scientific and physics-informed machine learning
- Contributed to SasView, an open-source Python application for SANS & SAXS data analysis
- Developed multi-slicer functionality for comparing multiple regions of 2D scattering datasets
- Overhauled the scattering invariant analysis workflow, adding uncertainty propagation and improving the reliability of derived physical quantities
- Managed the SasView v6.2.0 release, coordinating scope, timelines, bug resolution, and releases through PyPI and GitHub
- Improved reliability through refactoring, automated testing, code review, and CI workflows
- Languages: Python π, C
- Scientific Python: NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib
- Developer Tools: Git, GitHub, PyPI, CI/CD, Pytest
- GUI Development: PySide6 (Qt), Qt Designer
- Certification: Microsoft Certified: Machine Learning Operations Engineer Associate (AI-300)
- SasView π β Open-source small-angle scattering analysis software
