What

Syncs engine fix hellpanderrr/latin-macronizer-wasm#2. When a word is missing from the wordlist and Morpheus prints only its lemma, the page showed the lemma in place of the word typed (effuget → effugo, Adae → Ada), in macrons and stress modes alike. It now shows the word typed, as the Python reference does. Morpheus results saved in visitors' browsers by the old code are cleared on their next visit, with no wordlist reload.

Also in this PR

  • e2e: the provinciarum smoke test now also types effuget Adae and requires both words back. It fails on the old build (receives effugo) and passes now.
  • docs: M-031 (this bug), M-032 (open: the page writes æ/œ back as ae/oe), M-033 (full-prayer test numbers), a LESSONS entry on testing the product path, and the previous session's close-out docs (cherry-picked; they never reached main).

Tests

  • site npm test: 2075 + 348 pass.
  • macronizer e2e (playwright.chrome.config.js): 5/5 pass.
  • Full-prayer token test on the local page: wrong-word tokens 12 → 0; strict accuracy 99.14% → 99.49%.

LESSONS: the pdf-lib-never-applies-GPOS trap (M-030) with the class sweep —
the IPA export shares the root cause but its double-stacks sit on opposite
sides of the baseline and don't collide (probed with Czech ř). NEXT.md
rewritten: PRs merged + deployed + live-verified, server PID, manual deploy
command, and the settled one-mode decision in Don't-redo.

Engine 45e7821 (latin-macronizer-wasm): a bare-lemma Morpheus line now
echoes the looked-up wordform, as the Python reference does. Before it the
page displayed the lemma in place of the text - effuget -> effugo,
redimente -> redimo, Adae -> Ada - in macrons and stress modes alike.
Morpheus rows persisted by the old parser are cleared on the next visit
(EXTRAS_VERSION), so returning visitors get the fix without a wordlist
reload.

e2e: the provinciarum smoke test also types "effuget Adae" and requires
both words back (fails on the old build with "effugo", passes now).
Full-prayer token test on the local page: 12 wrong-word tokens -> 0.

Full details: Linked Issues check

Explanation

Issue #2 requires the bare-lemma fallback in MorpheusAnalyzer.parseAnalysisLine(line, wordform), unchanged comma-form behavior, IndexedDB extra versioning that clears only stale Morpheus rows, and focused unit tests. The PR description and e2e summary support the displayed-word behavior and the browser-cache result. The supplied change summary does not show the analyzer implementation, the exact extras-store logic, the focused unit tests, or the jest.config.cjs mapping. Compliance with all linked coding requirements cannot be established.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

The PR includes documentation for M-032, which concerns a separate æ/œ preservation issue and does not implement issue #2. It also includes prior-session close-out material in NEXT.md, which is administrative and unrelated to the linked coding requirement. The e2e test, M-031, M-033 metrics, and product-path testing lesson have a direct connection to the reported bug or its validation.

Engine 5fbd757 (CodeRabbit on engine PR #2). NEXT.md rewritten for this branch; the PID-kill instruction now verifies the PID still owns port 8000 (CodeRabbit on #11).

✅ No new issues found.

Reviewed changes

  • MorpheusAnalyzer.parseAnalysisLine — for bare-lemma Morpheus lines (no accented, lemma comma), the accented/stem form is now the typed wordform (lowercased; capitalized when the lemma's initial is upper, adae→Adae) instead of the lemma, mirroring the Python reference. The comma branch and the lemma field are unchanged, so only accented/stem/macronized/accentedUnderscore shift to the wordform.
  • WordlistEngine.EXTRAS_VERSION — a new meta field that, on mismatch in isPopulated(), clears only the Morpheus EXTRA_STORE (keeps the 812k wordlist chunks) and rewrites meta; written in the fresh-init path too. The e2e guard and docs (M-031/032/033, LESSONS) round out the change.

Traced the data flow end-to-end: the capitalization branch is faithful to the documented reference, the extras migration is idempotent (fresh installs skip it; a repeat call no-ops), and the e2e's .first()/.nth(1) order assumption is sound because analyzeBatch is a synchronous words.map(). No behavioral regressions found.
