Homelab plumbing and retro computing.
Infrastructure tooling I actually run at home, plus the occasional detour into hardware and desktops that stopped shipping decades ago.
Most projects are AI assisted. I use Claude for coding, Copilot for GitHub environment tasks such as PR code reviews. Gemini/AntiGravity for minor projects.
beanweb · TypeScript
A BeOS R5 desktop that runs in a browser tab — yellow window tabs, grey beveled widgets, Deskbar in the top-right corner.
I built this during Covid but never got to a usable place nor created any apps outside of StylEdit. Revived to play around with vite and TypeScript mainly and of course I love BeOS.
ssltui · Python
A terminal UI for running a local Certificate Authority. Create a root CA, issue
leaf certs with SANs, renew and revoke — all from the keyboard, with a Flask API
and a headless mode for cron-driven renewal. Built for *.local hostnames,
integration tests and homelab trust stores; deliberately not a production PKI.
Written as I needed something very simple to issue certs when trying various other infrastructure tools (such as k8s) or simply to host local certs for my home environment.
megadriveinvaders · C/ASM
Homebrew SNES space shooter written against PVSnesLib. Builds to a real .sfc
ROM you can drop into an emulator or flash cart, with Python helpers that
regenerate the sprite art from source BMPs.
I take very little credit writing the SNES ASM or the C code, it was mostly Claude! Fun project just to work closer to hardware.
notonmytoe · JS/CSS/HTML
A tic-tac-toe (Noughts and Crosses for us Brits!). A take on the classic game with some improvements.
Written to learn more about web sockets and async Python. Also a first try at making something more accessible (a11y) using ARIA tags for speech synthesizers.
Currently set to private due to a security concern
