Summary
GitHub began moving
ubuntu-latestto Ubuntu 26.04 on 2026-10-19 and plans to finish by 2026-11-19 (actions/runner-images#14748). Until then, two runs of one job can land on different images, and every run carries a notice about it.All four workflows (Validate, Smoke, the docs site and the plugin release) now run on
ubuntu-24.04, the image they run on today, as hamidfzm/glyph does. Moving to 26.04 later is its own change, made in every workflow at once.Testing
