Both clients refuse autocomplete text of more than maxInputCodePoints code points before they normalise it. client.md did not say so, and normalisation can turn long text into short text, so a client written from the spec alone would send q=FC for 70 spaces after FC. client.md listed the checks of autocomplete without the input limit. Both clients refuse text of
more than maxInputCodePoints code points before they normalise it, and normalisation can turn long
text into short text, so this adds that rule to the bullet and keeps its scenario names.
Closes #6
Verification: the unit tests, vectors, contract, tells, lint, types, licences and the offline
workflow audit pass locally with Python 3.14 on Windows. Three tests of the check-tells command
fail on Windows on main as well, because they run the script without a .py suffix; CI runs them
on Linux. Claude Code helped write the sentence and the commit message.
