Systems & Tools Engineer
I write CLIs, runtimes and scrapers, mostly in Rust, Zig and Go.
I read a lot of source code. If I use a tool every day, I usually end up in its repo, and sometimes I rewrite a small version of it to see how it's put together.
Most of my work is developer tooling, CLI utilities, scraping/automation infra and systems software.
1) fern-core
TUI framework in pure Zig, built on the Elm Architecture (Model-Update-View). Works on Linux and macOS and renders with raw ANSI.
2) mgit
A Git-like version control system in Rust, written without libgit2. Covers blobs, trees, commits, index staging and graph traversal. I built it to learn how Git actually stores things.
3) todo
A C daemon with no dependencies. It scans your code for TODO, FIXME and HACK, then serves a searchable dashboard on localhost. POSIX sockets, plain JS frontend.
4) zcm
Cache manager for the Zig compiler (.zig-cache and ~/.cache/zig), also pure Zig. Shows how big your caches are and prunes old build artifacts.
- Languages: Rust, Zig, Go, C, C++, Python
- Systems & tooling: POSIX, OS runtimes, LSP, CLI tools, memory and cache management
- Automation & backend: Playwright, headless scrapers, FastAPI, Go HTTP services, local LLMs (Ollama)
- Reading through
rustcandcpython - Implementing
loxin C.
I take a few contract projects for teams and startups:
- Custom CLI tools and internal utilities (Rust, Go, Zig)
- Scraping and automation, including sites with bot protection
- Small backend services, background daemons, local AI agent setups
- Profiling slow pipelines, auditing legacy code, rewriting bottlenecks
