What changed

The runtime image stops trusting emSign ECC Root CA - G3, the root behind the eMudhra intermediate CAs whose private keys were recoverable (Cloudflare advisory, 2026-10-20). Python in the image reaches the web over httpx with certifi's bundle, and ca-certificates serves everything else, so both trust stores move.

  • uv.lock: certifi 2026.6.17 → 2026.10.23. Only certifi moves. The 2026.10.23 bundle no longer carries the root.
  • Dockerfile: the runtime stage re-pins python:3.11-slim from e88e9763… to b7a9e5f6…, the index pushed on 2026-10-22. Its Debian 13 ca-certificates is 20250419+deb13u1 (DSA-6572-1), which no longer ships the root. The node:22-alpine stage is build-time only and stays as it is.

After merge, cloud instances receive this with their next image rollout.

certifi 2026.6.17 -> 2026.10.23 and python:3.11-slim re-pinned to the
2026-10-22 index, so neither certifi's bundle nor the Debian store in the
runtime image trusts emSign ECC Root CA - G3.
