circumspace is a one-person engineering practice. I bring twenty years of IT work: systems administration, networks and hosting. Today I focus on infrastructure sovereignty, cloud-native platforms run on-prem, local AI, and automation.
circumspace aims to do the opposite of what most enterprises do: no vendor lock-in, and only open source and free software. Everything runs on my own hardware in Germany: Talos Kubernetes on Proxmox, deployed from git with Flux rather than ArgoCD, with Cilium for networking and Gateway API and SOPS for secrets. A separate GPU machine serves local LLMs.
The stack stays lean on purpose. Every addition has to earn its place, and a tool being popular is no reason to adopt it. Clients get the same scrutiny for their own platforms.
