I'm building Verdroid, an on-device AI agent for Android that actually does things.

Verdroid runs entirely on your phone and is tuned for free OpenRouter / Kilo models. It falls back to other models and API keys automatically and recovers from rate limits. There's no server and no cloud backend, and your keys stay encrypted on the device.

• Free-model agent loop: tool calling with a priority list of models, automatic model and key fallback, and backoff with auto-resume after rate limits
• Web search and fetch: keyless multi-engine search (DuckDuckGo, Brave, Bing, Mojeek, Yahoo, Wikipedia) and clean Markdown page extraction over plain HTTP
• Device control: shell through Shizuku or rish, UI control through Accessibility, and bash/Python in Termux
• Headless Chromium + Selenium (optional, in Termux) for JavaScript-heavy pages
• Ebook translation for MOBI, EPUB, PDF, DOCX and TXT, resumable
• Files and Git: shared Documents/Verdroid folder, plus clone, commit and push with JGit
• Crypto backtesting: describe a strategy in plain English and test it against historical price data (backtesting only, no live trading; not financial advice)
• Skills, memory, AGENTS.md instructions, MCP client and per-chat tool presets
• Security first: API keys in EncryptedSharedPreferences (Android Keystore), HTTPS only, no backups
