BitPatch is the premier, GOG-compliant multiplayer installer and client update for Project I.G.I. 2: Covert Strike. Following the shutdown of GameSpy and Qtracker, BitPatch securely restores the in-game server browser via the OpenSpy master server network, allowing players to host dedicated servers and play online.

- Exploit Blocking: Patches trainers including Invisible Mode, Fast Lockpick, Super Jump, Rapid Fire, Infinite Ammo, and Deviance.
- Thermal Hack Prevention: Completely eliminates modified thermal rifle wallhacks.
- Server Exploit Protection: Fixes Luigi Auriemma vulnerabilities (gshboom, format string attacks, fake player floods).
- Resolves persistent CD authentication failures.
- Fixes death animation desyncs, null pointer reads, and ghost entity cascades.
- Patches floating-point triggers and Z-coordinate limits that cause dedicated server crashes.
- 100% compatible with the official GOG release.
- Unlocked ability to shoot while submerged in water.
- Third-person and free-camera modes (Left Alt + Right Alt).
- Restored original Project I.G.I. animated menu system.

This patch is fully compatible and heavily optimized for the official GOG.com release of I.G.I. 2: Covert Strike. We highly recommend using a clean, unmodified GOG installation to avoid file conflicts.
