To release

1. Add anything else for this release and merge this PR.
2. Push the tag v1.0.0-beta.21. The release workflow checks the tag matches Cargo.toml, builds Windows/macOS/Linux, and publishes the DMG, app update zip and platform archives.
3. Raise BRIDGE_MANUAL_UPDATE_BELOW in the control panel (src/features/bridge/manual-update.ts) to 1.0.0-beta.21, so beta.20 installs that cannot self-update are prompted to install manually.

Notes:

• The macOS signing/notarization steps and the DMG build have not run in CI before; this tag is their first CI run.
• Without the Apple secrets the app is ad-hoc signed (first launch needs right-click → Open).
