Overview
The current nginx base image ships a version of the Brotli library that is vulnerable to CVE-2026-111497. This upgrades to nginx 1.31.8, the latest mainline release, whose base image includes the patched library. The proxy image builds on this one, so the fix reaches production once both are released.
