Align telemetry with Bar Telemetry Spec v1 - #21
Conversation
Bar UI reads CodexBar's telemetry and drops records that don't follow the spec, so the files now carry what it expects: - Resource attributes: service.name codexbar, host.name, os.type and bar.spec.version 1. The scope version is the app version. - bar.limit.utilization and bar.limit.resets_at for each Codex window, keyed <bucket id>:<window minutes>. - bar.tokens, a cumulative Sum per model and token type, counted with per-session cursors from the moment tracking starts. Totals persist in Application Support, so pruned sessions never lower them. - bar.perk.available for reset credits, plus events in eventName: bar.tracking.started, bar.limit.appeared/reset/disappeared and bar.perk.available/gone. - codexbar://telemetry and codexbar://settings links, with a confirmation before any change is applied. The codex.tokens.* snapshot gauges and their reader are gone; the other codex.* records stay as app-specific extras.

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to Rare token records can overstate usage, and repeated settings links can stack confirmation dialogs. Both issues are bounded, but should be fixed or accepted before merging. Pre-merge checks |

only for sessions read from offset 0, and preserve delta calculation when a

- Keep a new baseline even when the first log write fails, and retry bar.tracking.started until it lands, so no tokens are lost. - Pause recording if turning tracking off couldn't delete the state, instead of counting tokens used while it was off. - Never treat a running total as new usage when the total before the baseline couldn't be found. - Drop oversized non-token lines as they stream in rather than buffering them whole. - Refresh a reset credit's expiry while it stays available. - Ignore codexbar:// links while an alert is open, and let each settings draft follow only its own setting.
- Skip copied fork history by the explicit ordinal boundary (history_base, forked_from_ordinal_exclusive) before falling back to the creation time, since copies can carry new timestamps. - Keep reset-credit observations per account, so switching accounts doesn't read as the old account's credits going. - Only announce a new credit when the available count rises; a capped list rotating which credits it shows stays silent. - Start tracking (and write bar.tracking.started) on whichever path sees data first, so no perk event precedes it. - Report a failed token baseline as a warning instead of blocking the account telemetry.

I'm bringing CodexBar's telemetry in line with Bar Telemetry Spec v1 so Bar UI can read it.
