What and why

Adds an STE pass to the organization's README rule. After readme-generator writes a README.md, the simple-english skill makes one ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English (STE) pass over its prose, in its default mode. Code, commands, paths and quoted output stay as they are.

  • src/agents-block.md and this repository's AGENTS.md copy: the README bullet names the STE pass.
  • CONTRIBUTING.md: the install command for simple-english and a new step 2, "STE pass".
  • DECISIONS.md: the decision, dated 2026-10-21.

BuildexLabsAI/repo-template, forg, UAE-SponSlot, janbot and ai-video-opas get the new block in their own pull requests. Merge this one first, so their drift checks compare against the new block.

How it was tested

  • bash tests/check-standard.test.sh: 59 passed, 0 failed.
  • bash .github/scripts/check-standard.sh and bash src/check-standard.sh --canonical src: OK, 0 warnings.
  • npx skills add AminBlg/SimpleEnglish -g -a claude-code -y was run in an empty home folder. It installed the skill at ~/.claude/skills/simple-english.

No check rule changes, so no new test.
