Moves Agent Relay Desktop into this repo as a single squashed snapshot of AgentWorkforce/relay-desktop (companion PR: AgentWorkforce/relay-desktop#643). The desktop repo's history is not imported, so files removed during the open-source scrub stay out of the public history. Once this lands, relay-desktop is retired. Desktop releases keep publishing to AgentWorkforce/relay-desktop-releases, the repo installed apps poll for updates.

What's in it

• apps/desktop (d562d2951):
  • the macOS app (SwiftUI)
  • the GTK app for Linux and Windows
  • the shared Rust relay core (apps/desktop/probe), with its own Cargo workspace and lockfile, so the broker build is untouched
  • packaging, docs and the iOS app
• The GUI binary is now agent-relay-desktop, so it no longer collides with the npm agent-relay CLI.
• Muse public-surface workarounds are removed; the native Muse integration that relay owns remains.
• Apache-2.0 metadata (31e275d60): the package license fields are now consistent.
• Retire legacy spawn providers (252c60ebf, breaking):
  • Gemini, the local Cursor CLI, Aider, Goose and Droid are no longer spawn providers.
  • The CLI, MCP, SDK, Fleet and broker compatibility paths return provider_removed instead of starting them.
  • Node capacity no longer advertises those spawn:* capabilities.
  • Use cursor-cloud in place of the local Cursor CLI.

The changelog is under [Unreleased - Major], with Added, Removed, Breaking Changes and Migration Guidance sections.

Checks

• apps/desktop/scripts/check-open-source.sh passes. It checks for embedded PostHog keys, private-repo links, developer home paths, the license, and removed internal files.
• The added lines were also scanned for private keys, GitHub, Slack, AWS, Anthropic and OpenAI tokens, and private-repo links: 0 hits.
• GitHub push protection flagged two placeholder workspace keys in workspace_recovery_tests.rs as Stripe restricted keys, because they share the rk_live_ prefix. They are all-zero and all-two fixtures, now written with concat! so the scanner doesn't match them. Those tests pass (15/15).
• codex-mover reports that the desktop open-source, secret and workflow checks and an isolated full Rust suite pass on this branch.

Follow-ups (not in this PR)

• Add the desktop signing secrets (CSC_LINK, CSC_KEY_PASSWORD, APPLE_API_KEY_*, APPLE_MOBILE_API_*) and RELEASES_TOKEN to this repo. desktop-ci.yml, desktop-release.yml (desktop-v* tags) and ios-testflight.yml are already in .github/workflows. The inert copies under apps/desktop/.github/ can be removed.
• Generate third-party notices for the desktop core's Rust dependencies.
• Archive AgentWorkforce/relay-desktop once the first desktop-v* release ships from here.
